WorkCycle offers three valuable programs for menstrual and menopausal wellbeing in the workplace
An initiative of She Listens, the Chalice Foundation, and the The Dugdale Trust for Women & Girls,

WorkCycle Programs
Workplaces that support women through their menstrual experiences are demonstrating their commitment to gender equity, inclusion and social justice.
6 in 10 wanted greater flexibility to make time for rest.
1 in 4 wished they could ask their employer for what they need to manage these times more comfortably and productively.
Workplaces that support women during the menopausal transition are more likely to retain experienced and highly competent employees.
6 in 10 women ranked workplace support during menopause as ‘poor’ or ‘below average’.
7 in 10 said they did not feel comfortable talking to their manager about their needs.
Nearly 1 in 2 women considered retiring or taking a break from work when their menopausal symptoms were severe.

- The keys to good conversations about menstrual needs and supports
- Simple workplace accommodations that can make a valuable difference for everyone, especially those struggling with menstrual symptoms
- How to design and facilitate good planning and policies.
We conclude with some reflections on the session and provide useful resources for further learning and implementation.

Menopause Conversations at Work
A 75 minute in person program
Creating an opportunity for conversations about the experience of menopause.
In this popular session we show the documentary Giving Voice to Menopause (25min) by She Listens, and facilitate a lively discussion of the issues raised.
This allows for a warm and supported conversational space around the experience of menopause, as frequently requested by staff and community members alike.
In this session we:
- View and discuss the film Giving Voice to Menopause
- Consider why menopause is a workplace issue and what the research is telling us
- Give clear definitions and cultural frameworks for perimenopause and menopause
- Offer a safe space for conversations around the experience of menopause
- Discuss support and self care
- Provide resources and contacts for further learning.
